Jay and Bub are currently working on a sturdy 17-foot skiff. It’s based on an old wooden boat that got brought to the Dory Shop Boatyard in the latter days of its life. Jay took the lines off it earlier this spring so we could make a few just like her. Heavily built with good high sides, this kind of boat is excellent for shore fishing or as a simple runabout.
