After much delay, we were delighted to finally step the mast in that big Fortune Bay dory completed earlier this month. Then Jay joined the owner, his daughter and grandchildren for a little test sail in Lunenburg harbour.

It was truly a lovely sight, as proven by the many tourists who turned from their examination of tall ships like the Schooner Bluenose II and the barquentine Concordia, both in port at the moment, to watch and photograph this handsome little craft sailing up and down the waterfront.

Both boat and crew performed well.
