Transom dory nearly finished

Jay is finishing up the new transom dory in the Dory Shop. She has double the number of frames and extra fastenings and a small fore deck to make storage area up forward. Jay put in oak knees where the transom joins the shear streak. Next will be thole pins, thwarts and then we will be to flip her over and fasten some oak shoes to make it easy to drag her up on the beach. Last will be to paint her up and put her up for sale. A fine boat she is. It’s a beautiful day in Lunenburg today. Blew a gale the last few days but it’s nice now, westerly winds laying down. Nothing moved in the harbour, just some chafe on a few hawsers. The sun is burning brightly.
