The bee's knees
When it comes to putting the knees or frames in a Banks dory, I sometimes think Jay could do it in his sleep. With their angled but otherwise straight sides, it’s certainly a much more straight-forward job that it is with this new Nutshell Pram he’s building.
This boat’s knees are sort of dainty looking (compared to a dory at least), though they’re made of durable hackmatack. The thing is they have to be cut so that they fit snuggly against the curved shape of her three-plank hull.
Just the kind of challenge Jay likes!
