A day's difference

What a difference a day can make!

I had just taken some photos of Jay hanging the binder plank on this latest Black Rocks dory, then after a day out of town I return to find the boat fully planked and flipped upsidedown so that Jay could work on her stem.

Looks like this sweet little dory will be ready to go early next week.

And speaking of sweet dories, if you live within driving distance of Lunenburg and you need a shot of holiday spirit, why not come down for the first annual Lunenburg Santa Parade, taking place Saturday afternoon at 2.m.

The theme of the parade is Santa in a dory and to date they have more than 30 floats, most featuring actual dories, set to participate. I've seen the Picton Castle's tropical Christmas dory and I know that Kinley's Drug Company has been trimming one of our dories for the event.
