A one-day heat wave

Summer doesn’t officially arrive until June 20 they tell us, but yesterday it sure felt like summer as the temperature soared to a humid 28 degrees Celsius (that’s around 83 Fahrenheit for our American friends). Of course everyone here was complaining; we’re not used to those temperatures at the best of times and this happened so suddenly.

Today it’s back to a cool 12 degrees and feels freezing, though most people will tell you they prefer it to the heat. Jay’s even got his jacket on as he works to plank the 17’ bottom Fortune Bay dory that he’s got on the go.
