It’s that time of year again – time to receive our annual delivery of dory knees, courtesy of the Hatt family.

For more than 50 years, and through four generations, the Hatts have supplied The Dory Shop with this oh-so-critical construction material. Because what’s a Lunenburg dory without naturally-grown frames? Well, it isn’t a Lunenburg dory at all.

In addition to getting the knees unloaded and stacked, Jay’s also been busy tying things down in preparation for the approach of Hurricane Earl. Here’s hoping he blows out to sea and we just get a good wash down.

It’s hotter than Hades here today and we Nova Scotians aren’t used to it!
